Daily Horse Shows

Will visitors please note that the Tiltyard is now closed until March and there is no falconry or horse shows.

The Royal Armouries offers daily horse shows, a unique experience for visitors, from March to the end of October, which include:

Entry to the museum is free but there is a small charge for entry to the horse shows.

Monday – Friday during term time 1.30pm

£2 Family (2 adults + 2 children)
£1 Adults
50p Concessions (3 – 15 years and over 60 years)
Free entry for pre-booked school groups and children under 3 years

Saturday, Sunday and school holidays (weather permitting) 2.00pm

£5 Family (2 adults + 2 children)
£2 Adults
£1 Concessions (3 – 15 years and over 60 years)
Free entry for pre-booked school groups and children under 3 years

Royal Armouries retains the right to change performances at short notice and are weather permitting.

Visitors are welcome to visit the stables area: find out about our six horses, their care and the history of the use of horses in sport and war.


  • The Menagerie Court is named after the famous royal menagerie or zoo, which was housed in the Tower of London from the beginning of the 13th century until 1835. See here the birds and horses that you see in the Tiltyard shows close at hand.
